La Jolla cityhood proposal, Point La Jolla, La Casa de los Amigos, Adelante Townhomes, business burglaries, sidewalk vendors and the La Jolla Park Coastal Historic District are some of the issues that made headlines.
Three projects the La Jolla Community Planning Association had seen before returned at its Sept. 1 meeting: one to subdivide a property on Fay Avenue, one intended to stabilize a bluff in Bird Rock and one to build a house on Hillside Drive.
Despite lingering concerns about height measurements and “inconsistency” in the plans, the 12-unit Gravilla Townhomes project got the support of the La Jolla Development Permit Review Committee on May 17 on its third try.
