Liberty Counsel is appealing a federal judge’s ruling that dismissed the lawsuit brought by health care workers in Maine who said they were unfairly discriminated against by the COVID-19 mandate.
Nine Maine health care workers filed the lawsuit against the state in 2021 claiming they should be able to opt out for religious reasons.
Liberty Counsel, which represented the seven health care workers, said it will appeal Levy’s decision to the First Circuit Court of Appeals.
