A 30-year-old California surfer has survived a shark attack this weekend about 70 miles north of San Francisco. He has not been publicly identified but it was reported that he was bitten in the thigh.
The surfer was attacked in Bodega Bay, a northern California town an hour and a half away from San Francisco. He was at North Salmon Creek Beach.
"I saw the dorsal fin of the shark and then I saw the tail fin of the shark kind of going down into the water," a witness told CBS San Francisco.
