Manhattan distillery Great Jones Distilling has teamed up with a Hamptons winery for a whiskey that celebrates New York State terroir.

Distiller Celina Perez chats with us about women in the whiskey world, and how the “spirit” of New York drives everything they do at Great Jones.

Housed in a c.1861 building on Goshen’s Main Street, Pharmacy Kitchen & Bar is named for the brick storefront’s decades-long tenure as the town drugstore. The duo behind the two-year-old hospitality business took the pharmacy theme and ran with it, keeping the old chemist bottles, signage, and a cash register on display. These days though, the only prescriptions being filled are for craft cocktails, made with house biters and tinctures, and wood-fired eats made on an Argentine-style grill.

These new whiskeys of revived old styles or innovations offer some genuine delight and just might keep those top-shelf bottles dusty a little longer.
