WW2 shipwrecks found to be leaking pollutants that impact marine environments
Analysis of a shipwreck from World War II has shown it to be leaking hazardous pollutants, such as explosives and heavy metals, into the ocean floor sediment of the North Sea some 80 years after its last voyage, researchers have said.
