A neo-Nazi who used “Adolf Hitler” as his Apple user ID has been jailed for three years for stirring up racial hatred.
Tobias Powell, 33, voiced support for the National Action terrorist group online and called murdered MP Jo Cox an “alleged open traitor and enemy of the people”.
Counter Terrorism Policing South East said Powell wrote an email to Theresa May during her time as prime minister, where he accused her of a “Brexit stitch up” and called her a snake. ....

A white supremacist supporter who posted “abhorrent” racist material online, including a photo of his dog carrying out a Nazi salute, has been jailed for three years for hate crime offences.
Tobias Powell, of Bognor Regis, West Sussex, also created an avatar on the Fifa football video game using an offensive racial slur – with the word Nazi on the back of the player’s shirt, Portsmouth Crown Court heard.
Amy Packham, prosecuting, told the court that the photo posted by the defendant of his dog with its paw raised was accompanied with the words of the Nazi salute “sieg heil”. ....

A WEST Wight monster is having his prison sentence for raping a child reviewed by the Court of Appeal, after it was considered too lenient.
Jonathan Richard Maertens, 35, of Richmond Meade, Freshwater, was given life imprisonment, with a minimum of 16 years, in November last year, after raping and abusing girls as young as four years old.
He appeared at the Isle of Wight Crown Court and pleaded guilty to 34 separate indictments, including ten multiple incident counts of rape of a child under 13; five counts of sexual assault of a child under 13; three counts of taking indecent photographs of a child; and three counts, including two multiple incident counts, of administering a substance with intent. ....
