Karnataka minister and Congress leader Dinesh Gundu Rao on Friday alleged that the previous BJP government had attempted to infuse their ideological issues into textbooks and his government will take "corrective measures".
The revision will happen in the interest of the students and without any flaws on the part of the government, education authorities and the administration, said state Education Minister Madhu Bangarappa
School education minister B.C. Nagesh, who has been at the centre of numerous 'saffronisation' controversies in the recent past, said that the saffron classrooms have been suggested by the architects and don't reflect any ideology.
The Karnataka Congress unit will stage a protest against the revision of textbooks in Bengaluru in Vidhan Soudha on June 9, Thursday. The protest will start from 10 am and all MLAs will take part in the agitation.
