Sandy Tuori Bell is the niece of Connie Touri, the 93-year-old woman found killed in her apartment in March. She says conditions at the Skyline Apartments are dangerous and unsanitary.
“Nuisance is the legal term being used today, but that falls short of describing the utterly deplorable conditions at the Skyline. Any actions taken against (building owners) Green National will not bring our aunt back, or lessen the pain associated with her death,” she said.

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The owners of the Skyline apartment building cut back on Syracuse police patrols three weeks after an elderly woman was found murdered at the complex, and they plan to end patrols by off-duty sheriff’s deputies this week.
As of April 5, the Skyline’s owners stopped paying for a daily Syracuse police presence at the 365-unit complex, opting instead to cut patrols to four days a week, according to police spokesman Sgt. Matthew Malinowski. The owners’ decision happened “despite the city’s recommendation,” Malinowski said.

Syracuse, N.Y. -- A group of about 15 Skyline Apartments residents gathered Saturday in the shadow of the high-rise as they were briefed on security improvements that have to be made to the building by its owners.
“We’ll see,” resident Joanna Smith said as the Skyline Tenants Association president Katrina Weston read through the improvements.
The security changes are part of a nuisance abatement plan served to Skyline Apartments owners Green National. Green National is the firm of former NFL star Tim Green and his son, Troy Green.
