Robert Keith Packer pleads guilty to parading, demonstrating or picketing in a Capitol building, a misdemeanor that carries a maximum sentence of six months imprisonment
Robert Keith Packer, of Newport News, Virginia, entered a guilty plea to one count of parading for his role in the January 6, 2021, Capitol riot.
“He entered the building despite seeing broken windows and tear gas being deployed,” a federal prosecutor said.
The group of local defendants ranges in age from 27 to 59 and includes a father and daughter, two brothers, and a man and a woman in their late 50s who’ve been friends since high school.
It was an unorthodox year in politics, sports and culture.
