Helen Marie Cornett Dryke, 94, beloved wife, mother & grandmother, passed peacefully Friday, August 5, 2022 in St. Paul, MN. She was born November 9, 1927 in Daisy Kentucky. She moved to Duluth MN where she met her husband, John Malcolm Dryke, when he rescued her from freezing at a bus stop in a blizzard. They moved to Hermantown where they lived for over 50 years. Helen was, a strong, compassionate & creative woman who had a love for the earth, growing large flower & vegetable gardens while raising 5 children, rescuing horses & cats, & being active in many environmental, animal & human welfare causes, as well as sewing, crafting, stitching, weaving & drawing. She served as a Girl Scout Leader for many years & a Superior Zoo Docent bringing animals to schools for children to learn about. As her children matured she remained very active, working seasonally at Kemp Fisheries and Engwall Greenhouse. She canoed & hiked many miles & visited many bird ....
