KENDALLVILLE â A new event for Noble Countyâs most experienced residents is coming to Kendallville, with numerous vendors, activities and information for senior citizens living in the community. The 2021 Noble County Senior Lifestyle Expo is coming to the Community Learning Center in Kendallville on May 18. The event will run from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. and visitors are encouraged to practice COVID-19 safety precautions including masking and social distancing as they attend the event. Admission to the event is $3 per person, but those interested can check their daily News Sun newspaper in the coming weeks for a $1 off coupon. The first 100 attendees will receive a special gift for attending and cash prizes will be drawn during the morning and afternoon at the event. ....
INDIANAPOLIS â For the second straight week, area nursing homes reported little COVID-19 activity in their facilities. There were three new deaths reported in the area, although itâs unclear whether they are new or part of an update of the stateâs data from a year-end audit. For the week ending Feb. 3 â long-term care data runs a week in lag â only five of 17 nursing homes in the four-county area reported any types of COVID-19 cases and all five of those had minor impact from the virus. Northern Lakes Nursing and Rehabilitation in Angola reported three new resident cases and two resident deaths, while Millerâs Merry Manor in LaGrange had one resident case and one resident death reported. ....
