POV: Massachusetts Must Be Proactive to Protect Public Safety Under Relaxed Concealed Carry Laws
In this op-ed, Cody Jacobs, a School of Law lecturer, writes that the Supreme Court is poised to do away with “may issue” concealed carry laws, which require that anyone wishing to carry a gun in public must first demonstrate a “good reason” to do so, and discusses steps the Massachusetts legislature needs to take to limit the impact of that decision.
