CBS News Lessons from Scholastic With the horror of what happened at the U.S. Capitol this past week still sinking in, there is an important question: How to explain it to America s children? Kids want to understand it, said Dick Robinson, president and CEO of Scholastic. The Capitol is a symbol. It s very important to them. And so, Robinson said, his editors immediately started posting stories for students on the websites of Scholastic magazines. In fourth grade we ll explain it one way; in eighth grade we ll explain it another way, he said.
