May 24, 2021 25 TORRINGTON – Margaret (Peg) Kucinskas died peacefully on May 19, 2021, at the age of 95. She was the loving wife of the late John Kucinskas. Together they raised six children. She leaves Debra Hanny of Torrington, Mark Kucinskas of Fairfield, Joseph Kucinskas of Piermont, N.H., and Sheri Kucinskas of Kailua, Hawaii. Peg was predeceased by Kevin Kucinskas and Linda Diamond. She was a loving grandmother to seven grandchildren and a dozen great-grandchildren. Born in New Haven, Conn., in 1925, Peg survived hard times in her youth, including the death of her older brother due to a brain tumor, but went on to live a rich, joyful and full life. She met John, a handsome sailor and cook after World War II, while working at Newington Children’s Hospital, and happily didn’t have to cook for the next 58 years. ....
