The Fort McHenry Federal Channel has been restored to its original operational dimensions for commercial maritime transit through the Port of Baltimore, authorities said.

The limited-access channel currently open for 24/7 commercial vessel traffic into the port is deep enough to support most cargo vessels, though not at the normal rate seen before the bridge collapsed.
