Citing an increase in the incidence of syphilis infections over the past 2 decades, the U.S. Preventive Services Task Force has reaffirmed its recommendation to screen those at increased risk for infection.The grade A recommendation reaffirms the task force’s position stated in 2016 and applies to nonpregnant sexually active adolescents and adults who are at high risk, although the task
