Fingerstyle guitar phenom and self-proclaimed prankster Hayden Pedigo got serious in pursuit of the perfect guitar album.

We sat down with Texas fingerstyle guitarist Hayden Pedigo to talk about his new album, The Happiest Times I've Ever Ignored.

In 2018, Hayden Pedigo, a 24-year old Amarillo native and musician, ran for city council after releasing a parody campaign video on a lark. He took no contributions for his campaign, even though city elections are big money in the Yellow City. Jasime Stodel, a documentary filmmaker, came to town and recorded the experience. A brand new trailer for the upcoming documentary Kid Candidate has been released, showcasing some of what to expect when it releases early next month. Kid Candidate tells the real-life story of Hayden Pedigo, a 24-year old experimental musician, and his unlikely run for city council in Amarillo, Texas, after his Harmony Korine-inspired spoof campaign video went viral. After the viral video’s popularity caused Pedigo to become more known, he decided to try and actually pursue a seat in office.
