Kiley Benson became executive director of the hunger-fighting organization Loaves and Fishes nine months ago, something he never imagined 10 years ago when he was homeless.
Because the need is great in central Minnesota, the organization is expanding its services to St. Cloud starting on March 1.
Second Harvest Heartland started the program in 2020.
Loaves and Fishes operates more than 30 hot meal kitchens and food donation sites around the state and plans to expand their operations by adding a food distribution center at the former grocery store.
