Kimberly-Clark Softex Installs Solar Panels at its Karawang Manufacturing Facility with TotalEnergies ENEOS

Kimberly-Clark Softex's(PT Softex Indonesia)5000 PV modules installed in the Karawang manufacturing facility will contribute tothe government's Million Solar Panel Roofs National Movementto produce clean energy JAKARTA, Indonesia, May 31, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Kimberly-Clark Softex today announced the installation of nearly 5000 photovoltaic (PV) modules on the roof of its flagship manufacturing facility in Karawang, West Java. This rooftop solar panel installation will reduce the indirect carbon emissions of the facility by around 3,000 tons per year or the equivalent of taking 600 fossil fuel driven cars off the roads[1]. This initiative will also support the government's Million Solar Panel Roofs National Movement, which aims to generate 3.6 gigawatts (GW) of solar energy by 2025. "At Kimberly-Clark, we are committed to decarbonizing our supply chain and halving our carbon emissions by 2030. This 2.65 megawatt-peak (MWp) solar installation will generate approximately 3,700 megawatt-hours (MWh) of clean energy for our factory annually, and help us deliver on our global climate goals. It will also help to increase the contribution of new and renewable energy mix in Indonesia," said Kadir Gunduz, President Director of Kimberly-Clark Softex. Kimberly-Clark Softex said that it is carrying out the installation of the solar panels in collaboration with TotalEnergies ENEOS. The installation in Karawang Manufacturing Facility started in May 2023 and will begin operating by December 2023. BBDO Indonesia and BBDO Guerrero team up to launch radio and print campaign inspired by local myths
BBDO Indonesia and BBDO Guerrero have joined forces with Sweety on a campaign for Sweety Silver Pants. Inspired by Indonesian myths, the campaign illustrates how parents need to change their baby’s diaper regularly if they want to prevent monster tantrums.
There are still many parents in Indonesia who believe in myths and superstitions. And there is a belief that if your baby cries continuously, a monster might be trying to steal it away. But more likely, the crying is caused by a full diaper.  Based on research conducted by Sweety, 80% of diaper rash is from prolonged exposure to moist diapers, resulting in skin problems such as irritation, infection, itching and redness.

Jakarta. Personal care company Kimberly-Clark Softex officially installed photovoltaic panels on their Sidoarjo plant in East Java.
According to Softex Indonesia president director Hendra Setiawan, the solar panel will generate 630 kilowatts of peak energy. The switch to solar panel roofs is also in collaboration with a local renewable energy startup, Xurya Daya.
"The installation will now replace 887,922 kilowatt-hours of conventional energy use at the plant every year, reducing carbon dioxide production by approximately 829,319 kilograms per year," Hendra said in a recent official statement.
