His home agency King Kong Starship was quick to release an official statement regarding the news. According to the label, "Lee Kwang Soo was constantly undergoing rehabilitation treatment due to injuries caused by an accident last 2020." The agency further stated that there are activities in the project where it was difficult to maintain the best condition during filming. The statement went on, "After the accident happened a year ago, we had a long months of discussion with the members, and production crew of 'Running Man' and decided to fully continue the rehabilitation treatment for Lee Kwang Soo's safety."
