The record price for the prized ham at the Kentucky State Fair doubled this year.
For the most part, the Kentucky State Fair was quiet early Thursday morning as people set up their stations and prepared for the day.
State politicians and candidates attended the breakfast, where a Kentucky country ham was sold for a record $10 million. The day before, protestors with the Fairness Campaign gathered for their last protest of the Kentucky Farm Bureau’s policies.
“Think about what we can do to restore hope where it’s been lost while still supercharging this economy,” Gov. Beshear said to the Republican-friendly crowd.
