NAF EL CENTRO – Military and civilian swag was seen all about the hangar of the Naval Air Facility El Centro’s 17th annual “Wings of Elegance” Air Show Gala here
The Nevada Appeal, the Silver State's oldest continuously run newspaper, first published on May 16, 1865.
The new structure replaces two World War II era buildings used to house the fire department base.
Naval Air Facility El Centro said in a Facebook post that the aircraft was from the 3rd Marine Aircraft Wing, an aviation unit headquartered at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, in San Diego, about 115 miles 185 kilometers west of the crash site in Imperial County.
The crash was reported by the Naval Air Facility El Centro, which trains pilots from the Navy and other branches of the military.
