Lahiri Mahasaya | क्या साईं बाबा के गुरु थे लाहड़ी महाशय? जानिए 5 खास बातें

ऐसा कहा जाता है कि महावतार बाबा ने आदिशंकराचार्य को क्रिया योग की शिक्षा दी थी और बाद में उन्होंने संत कबीर को भी दीक्षा दी थी। इसके बाद प्रसिद्ध संत लाहिड़ी महाशय को उनका शिष्य बताया जाता है। इसका जिक्र लाहिड़ी महाशय के शिष्य स्वामी युत्तेश्वर गिरि के शिष्य परमहंस योगानंद ने अपनी किताब 'ऑटोबायोग्राफी ऑफ योगी' (योगी की आत्मकथा, 1946) में किया है। लाहड़ी महाशय के चमत्कार के कई किस्से हैं, परंतु उन्हें यहां प्रकट नहीं कर सकते हैं। फिर किसी लेख में। आओ जानते हैं लाहड़ी महाशय के बारे में 5 खास बातें।
1. महावतार बाबा के शिष्य : लाहड़ी महाशय को महावतार बाबा का शिष्य माना जाता है। परमहंस योगानंद के गुरु स्वामी युत्तेश्वर गिरि लाहिड़ी महाशय के शिष्य थे।
2. जन्म : श्यामाचरण लाहिड़ी का जन्म 30 सितंबर 1828 को पश्चिम बंगाल के कृष्णनगर के घुरणी गांव में हुआ था। योग में पारंगत पिता गौरमोहन लाहिड़ी जमींदार थे। मां मुक्तेश्वरी शिवभक्त थीं।
3. शिक्षा और नौकरी : काशी में उनकी शिक्षा हुई। विवाह के बाद नौकरी की। 23 साल की उम्र में इन्होंने सेना की इंजीनियरिंग शाखा के पब्लिक वर्क्स विभाग में गाजीपुर में क्लर्क की नौकरी कर ली।
4. जीवन परिवर्तन : 23 नबंबर 1868 को इनका तबादला हेड क्लर्क के पद पर रानीखेत (अल्मोड़ा) के लिए हो गया। प्राकृतिक छटा से भरपूर पर्वतीय क्षेत्र उनके लिए वरदान साबित हुआ। एक दिन श्यामाचरण निर्जन पहाड़ी रास्ते से गुजर रहे थे तभी अचानक किसी ने उनका नाम लेकर पुकारा। श्यामाचरण ने देखा कि एक संन्यासी पहाड़ी पर खड़े थे। वे नीचे की ओर आए और कहा- डरो नहीं, मैंने ही तुम्हारे अधिकारी के मन में गुप्त रूप से तुम्हें रानीखेत तबादले का विचार डाला था। उसी रात श्यामाचरण को द्रोणागिरि की पहाड़ी पर स्थित एक गुफा में बुलाकर दीक्षा दी। दीक्षा देने वाला कोई और नहीं, कई जन्मों से श्यामाचरण के गुरु महावतार बाबाजी थे।
5. योग प्रचार : श्यामाचरण लाहिड़ी ने 1864 में काशी के गरूड़ेश्वर में मकान खरीद लिया फिर यही स्थान क्रिया योगियों की तीर्थस्थली बन गई। योगानंद को पश्‍चिम में योग के प्रचार-प्रसार के लिए उन्होंने ही चुना।
6. साईं बाबा के लाहड़ी : कहते हैं कि शिर्डी सांईं बाबा के गुरु भी लाहिड़ी बाबा थे। लाहिड़ी बाबा से संबंधित पुस्तक 'पुराण पुरुष योगीराज श्यामाचरण लाहिड़ी' में इसका उल्लेख मिलता है। इस पुस्तक को लाहिड़ीजी के सुपौत्र सत्यचरण लाहिड़ी ने अपने दादाजी की हस्तलिखित डायरियों के आधार पर डॉ. अशोक कुमार चट्टोपाध्याय से बांग्ला भाषा में लिखवाया था। बांग्ला से मूल अनुवाद छविनाथ मिश्र ने किया था।
साईं ने अपनी गुरु की निशानियों को भी संभालकर रखा था। बाबा के गुरु की खड़ाऊं, उनकी चिलम और माला को बाबा के समाधि लेने के बाद आज भी संभाल कर रखा गया है। उनके पास एक ईंट भी थी जिसका संबंध उनके गुरु से ही था। उनके गुरु सेलु के वैंकुशा बाबा थे। ऐसा भी कहा जाता है कि लाहड़ी महाशय से भी उन्होंने शक्तियां प्राप्त की थीं।
