During crisis, K-9s trained in prisons offer help to citizens – and healing to CT police officers
Several police departments across Connecticut have brought on support dogs trained by incarcerated people in New York and New Jersey. The dogs learn specialized commands that help them support citizens and officers. The dogs have been a resource for police officers in Bristol during some of the department’s darkest days.
