View Comments BYRON - A 2-year-old child was seriously injured after being hit by a tractor Wednesday afternoon in Fond du Lac County. According to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office, a 38-year-old Fond du Lac woman was driving a Kubota tractor around 2:50 p.m. on Hickory Road in Byron. She hit a bump in the road, and the child fell off the tractor, the sheriff's office said. The child was flown to Children's Hospital in Milwaukee. The woman and another child passenger were not injured, according to the sheriff's office. The sheriff's office is investigating the crash.  City of Fond du ...

FOND DU LAC - City Council will hold a special meeting for a discussion on Lakeside Park at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday in the Windsor Room of the Hotel Retlaw, 1 N. Main St. According to the meeting agenda, the review and discussion will be on "land use and sites for the multi-purpose building and the management/ownership of the multi-purpose Building." FOND DU LAC - City Council voted Wednesday night to pause work on the Lakeside Park project until the next council meeting, to allow its newest members to review the enhancement agreement. The vote passed 4 to 2, with new council members Tiffany Brault, Keith Heisler and Vice President Patrick Mullen, as well as City Council President Kay Miller, in favor. Council members Donna Richards and Arletta Allen were opposed, and council member Ben Giles abstained.
