The new project will survey community members “where they are” to map out landmarks and places important to Sacramento’s LGBTQ+ community members, using a similar framework to the African American Experience Project.

The library’s catalog is comprised solely of queer literature, films, children’s books, erotica and archival materials. Co-founder Gail Lang, a lesbian, called it a “library for our community.”
