EDWARDSVILLE – Lawyers have filed more warehouse collapse suits against Amazon in St. Clair County than in Madison County where the tragedy occurred.
Two new lawsuits were filed against Amazon and several engineering and construction companies after a deadly tornado leveled the Edwardsville distribution center in December 2021.
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration declined to fine the warehouse giant, but cited numerous “risk factors” present in its warehouse.
Four amazon drivers are suing the company for being forced to stay in the Edwardsville warehouse which was wrecked by a tornado.
The drivers' lawsuit says they suffered "devastating physical and emotional injuries" from being inside the warehouse when the tornado hit.
