Reports of people pointing lasers at aircraft – a federal crime – have reached an all-time high, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Laser strikes against airplanes flying in Illinois and Indiana are at an all-time high and continue to grow, the Federal Aviation Administration said.

Four flight crews at Boston Logan reported green laser strikes on Monday and Tuesday morning, according to the Federal Aviation Administration. The FAA is now investigating.

The FBI said one pilot traced the laser to a downtown building in Great Barrington.
