The Crucial P5 Plus first launched way back in 2021, alongside the launch of the PlayStation 5. But, how does it stack up in 2024?
The Sabrent Rocket 5 is one of the fastest SSDs on the market, and the fastest drive we’ve ever tested in terms of sustained writes. It still has high power consumption and low power efficiency, like other PCIe 5.0 drives, but desktop enthusiasts won't care.
The PNY CS3150 is yet another PCIe 5.0 SSD, setting itself apart with a dual-fan cooler with optional RGB lighting. Performance is good and the dual fans aren't loud and help the drive stay very cool. However, it offers little new and tends to be expensive, and we can't currently find the 2TB model for sale.
Our review shows the Crucial T705 is the fastest PCIe 5.0 SSD around, though it comes at an equally high price.
