El Dorado’s girls soccer team enjoyed an 18-2 season last year, including a conference championship and a run to the 5A state semifinals. And then graduation happened.
El Dorado put forth a solid effort Tuesday but couldn’t get over the hump in a 3-0 loss to Texarkana in 5A South volleyball action at Wildcat Arena. The Lady Wildcats fell to 0-4 in league play while the Lady Razorbacks improved to 1-3.
El Dorado volleyball coach Amber Cunningham started her second season as head coach with the Purple-White scrimmage on Thursday. All of the players from grades 7-12 got to display their skills in front of a nice crowd at Wildcat Arena. “It went really good. We had a good turnout, a lot of parents and even students came out to support,” Cunningham said. “It gave me a chance to see what we still need to work on, but it also gave, especially my seventh graders, it got them used to having a crowd and playing in front of people.” The Lady Wildcats open the season for real on Monday at Magno...
