Grace Lyo s role as assistant dean and director of teaching and learning at Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) was created two years ago, just in time to establish her team before COVID-19 came around.
She s since been heavily involved in helping the MBA program not just transition to virtual learning a difficult ask for a school known for its hands-on experiential classes like Interpersonal Dynamics, otherwise known as Touchy Feely but rethink its entire curricula and teaching methods during the pandemic.

You could say that 2020 has been a year of awakening on many fronts. Calls for racial and social justice particularly in education have become increasingly urgent. And the Stanford Graduate School of Business is at the forefront of elite business schools when it comes to taking action to create change. Stanford GSB’s commitment to diversity is evident in its newly released second annual Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Report.
Here are some of the highlights of the 2020 report.
Increase Representation
Expanded MBA Admissions diversity outreach efforts and developed a full week of diversity in leadership online programming, resulting in 1,500+ attendees over 23 events
