The American meaning of happiness is scripturally based.

The pursuit of Happiness is manifested in each individual’s sovereignty of his body (labor), mind (ideas and beliefs), and property. These are endowed to him by his Creator and are of his own sovereignty; individual rights.  That means only God has the authority over each individual in regards to these three features articulated in the Declaration of Independence.

An underlying reason the United States became so economically prosperous is tied directly to the conflict between colonial churches and merchants.

Our Founding Fathers and our Forefathers understood that Happiness was behaving in obedience to our Creator, who gave us Life, and desires us to live in Liberty.

The Federal Constitution of the United States exceptionally removed any single person from serving as the entire government, which had been the practice of most civilizations.
