$18.2M RSU 24 budget drafted SULLIVAN — The Regional School Unit 24 (RSU 24) Budget and Finance Committee unanimously approved April 7 presenting its recommended budget for the 2021-22 year to the district’s board of directors at the board’s May 4 meeting.  The budget, totaling $18,245,701, represents an increase of 5 percent from the current budget. RSU 24 Board approves 2 percent salary increase for superintendent SULLIVAN — The Regional School Unit 24 (RSU 24) Board of Directors voted unanimously at its regular meeting Monday to raise Superintendent Michael Eastman’s salary by 2 percent for the 2021-22 school year following discussion in executive session.  According to the district’s 2020-21 adopted budget, Eastman’s current salary is $114,330. B.C. sees seven additional Coronavirus deaths, 18 new variant of concern cases

British Columbia's COVID-19 numbers have once again risen. In a written statement this afternoon (March 3), Provincial Health Officer Dr. Bonnie Henry and Health Minister Adrian Dix said 542 cases of the virus were detected during the past 24 hours, bringing the grand total to 75,819.  Of the new cases, Northern Health recorded 44, bringing the authority total to 4,686 since the virus hit the region on March 14, 2020. Officials announced seven more deaths linked to the virus today, bringing the province's toll to 1,372. There are 4,654 active cases throughout B.C. with 246 people current...
