Preventing the next Joel Greenberg: Seminole officials want more oversight of tax office in scandal's wake
During his time as Seminole tax collector, investigators say Joel Greenberg doled out millions of public dollars on murky consulting contracts and salaries to friends and associates for little or no work, embezzled hundreds of thousands of tax dollars to buy himself cryptocurrency and used an office credit card to buy sports memorabilia, among other abuses of his position.
