Bradley names new Nashville leader


Attorney Lauren Jacques is the new managing partner of Bradley Arant Boult Cummings’ Nashville office.
She succeeds Lela Hollabaugh, who oversaw the Nashville office since 2015 and is staying on as a litigation partner. Jacques first joined Bradley in 2011, after graduating from Vanderbilt Law School, and was
named a partner in 2019. Her practice is focused on health care transactions and health care regulatory matters. She has served on the planning committee for the Nashville Council of Health Care Attorneys and the board of local nonprofit The New Beginnings Center. 
“Lauren is a highly esteemed lawyer and colleague and has the skill, enthusiasm and leadership to help us maintain the highest standard of client service and execute on our vision for growth,” Bradley Chairman and Managing Partner Jonathan Skeeters said in a release. “We look forward to the contributions she will make to the Nashville office and the firm in her new position ....

Bar associations criticize Lyle resolution


House GOP is pushing removal of Nashville chancellor
Both the Tennessee Bar Association and Nashville Bar Association on Tuesday issued statements forcefully opposing a
push by Tennessee House Republicans to remove Davidson County Chancellor Ellen Hobbs Lyle because of her election-related rulings last year.
“Judges must be able to decide controversial cases based on the facts and the law, not based on how their decision may be perceived by the legislature,” NBA President Mike Abelow said in a statement. “No judge in the history of our state has been removed because the legislature disagreed with the judge’s decision. Violating that precedent threatens the people’s rights under our constitution. The Nashville Bar Association is working with other organizations to urge our legislature to oppose this resolution. ....
