As is often the case in Georgian Women’s championships, it was a very close race among the top-rated players and the members of the very strong national team. Nino Batsiashvili and Meri Arabidze finished in second and third place, respectively.

USA Finishes Fourth in FIDE Women's World Team Championship

The 2023 FIDE Women's World Team Championship concluded Monday, September 11 in Bydgoszcz, Poland after three days of group play and three days of knock-out rounds. When the dust settled, Georgia defeated Kazakhstan to claim top honors, while France defeated USA in the match for third place.

World Women's Team Ch: Georgia and Kazakhstan to fight for gold

Both semifinals at the World Women’s Team Championship in Bydgoszcz were decided in blitz tiebreakers.
