The original Fuel Altereds were the insane exhibition cars that plundered several NHRA eliminators at national events. And the drivers were the nitro cowboys who rode these wild beasts.
There are those who would argue that a Top Fueler or Funny Car are the most dangerous and awe-inspiring machines to ever tear tarmac. But what happens when you attempt to lasso the same level of nitro power in a crate with an 88-inch wheelbase? A crate that at least one driver controlled with just one hand. A crate that sat high, with the motor even higher, the driver stuck to the wind like a scarecrow in a tornado. And what about efficacy?
