Cub Scouts gathered at the Perham Center for the Arts on Saturday, Jan. 21 to race one another in the Pinewood Derby.

The scouts headed to Arvig Park in Perham on Tuesday, May 17 to launch bottle rockets they built themselves.

Five girls made Perham scouting history on Feb. 25 when they became the first official Perham Girl Troop 321, a program of Scouts BSA (formerly the Boy Scouts). Girl Troop 321 is the first troop of its kind in Perham and the first one of its district -- the Northern Sky district, which includes a few counties in western Minnesota and a dozen more in North Dakota.

The event brought out young racers from grades kindergarten through fifth, along with their family members, who could compete in the Open Class rounds.
