BlueSugar Corp., which was co-founded by Newark native Queen Latifah, is collaborating on the project with Life Assets Development, Gonsosa.
The housing project will be built in her hometown of Newark, N.J.
Latifah, who stars in "The Equalizer," was joined at the groundbreaking ceremony by Newark Mayor Ras Baraka and Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver.
