Springettsbury Twp. Police investigate three vehicles struck by bullets

In the area of Route 30 and North Hills Road, three vehicles were struck by bullets a little after midnight on May 13, according to police.
Springettsbury Township Police responded to the shots fired call, according to a department news release.
No injuries occurred, but all three vehicles were damaged.

Beneath his serious outward appearance, Jose Aponte was a goofball.
His sister, Miriam Baker, recalled that while some might’ve perceived him at first as unapproachable, he wouldn’t stop talking once he opened his mouth. He would crack jokes and try to lighten up the room when people were unhappy.
As a teen, Aponte would tie jump ropes to the back of his bicycle and pull two of their younger siblings on skateboards. He'd mimic the dance that Will Smith and Alfonso Ribeiro, who played Carlton Banks, performed on “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air” to “Apache" from the Sugarhill Gang.

Two prominent York County police departments say the principles in the #8CantWait campaign were already in practice, either formally or informally, but that they see merit in officially recognizing them.
Campaign Zero conceived eight police reform tenets with the goal of reducing police brutality:
Ban choke holds and strangle holds
Require de-escalation techniques
Duty to intervene
Require use-of-force continuum
Require comprehensive reporting
Last month, York City Police Commissioner Mike Muldrow posted on Crimewatch that his department was among many around the country to recognize #8CantWait.
