Voters are heading to the polls now in wyoming and alaska. donald trump s influence being tested again. this time with three of the best known women in republican politics on the ballot. liz cheney, lisa murkowski and back for more sarah palin. palin is looking to make a comeback in her bid with trump s backing for the state s lone congressional seat. murkowski, the only republican senator up for re-election, who voted to impeach trump, is facing an opponent who trump labeled maga all the way. the biggest contest, liz cheney who was one of the first republicans to call out trump on january 6th and is now helping to lead the insurrection investigation, she is in a tough battle to keep her seat. jeff zeleny is in wilson, wyoming, with more on this. what are you hearing today? reporter: good morning. a steady stream of voters have really been trickling into the ....
Gotten through. california, central valley and dale newhouse dan newhouse. vela dale, that s the one republican primary where donald trump didn t get involved. he didn t endorse anybody, he didn t get involved. so maybe that had a big factor on how validated got through, and new has those two, everybody runs on the top same ballot. for a split opposition there. new how scott 25% of the vote, that was enough to squeak into the general election. very different dynamic here for wyoming. obviously this is a one on one race. that s why cheney is such an underdog coming into this. the other races tonight to keep an eye on. it ll be the wee hours of the morning east coast time, will start to get some numbers out of alaska. the key here, this is the special election for alaska s lone congressional seat. it s sarah palin s comeback attempt. there are three candidates on the ballot. ....
The establishment candidates before. the winner of this race will face democratic incumbent tony evers. republicans really believe this is a seat they could flip in the fall. as you mentioned, this is the third time that pence and trump have gone up against each other, and if you are keeping score, which i think there are probably some people who are, you will note that pence has won one race, which was in georgia, brian kemp, and trump another, in arizona with kari lake, so something we re keeping a close eye on tonight. certainly. what about some of the other key races around the country tonight, kristen? wolf, there s another big race here in wisconsin. we have the democratic primary for senate. that winner will go up against ron johnson, the republican incumbent in the fall. that s going to be a critical race this season. lots of eyes on that. now, the other race we re looking at is in vermont. this is a pretty exciting time. there are two women who are vying to be the democrat ....
