Book on Joseph Ives reveals untold story of clockmaker
May 10, 2021 63 BRISTOL – The American Clock & Watch Museum has just published a new book, “Joseph Ives and the Looking Glass Clock,” as author Mary Jane Dapkus tells the previously untold stories about one of Bristol’s best-known clockmakers. The book includes an addendum analyzing Ives’ looking glass clock movements written by Peter Gosnell, retired professor of applied technology at the University of the Arts, London.
