VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Barnes County farmer Garrett McFadgen was seriously injured in a farm related accident last March. Garrett was working on the family farm Northwest of Valley City, preparing to unload portable livestock corral panels from a flatbed trailer. The load flipped and knocked Garrett off the trailer deck. The panels fell directly on top of his mid-section. Garrett was life-flighted to Sanford Medical Center in Fargo and treated for a broken back, fractured vertebra in his neck, broken ribs and several other injuries. (WKBT) — The Onalaska Hilltopper Rotary Club presented the Food Basket in Onalaska with a check for $7,367 to buy a large commercial-grade freezer. The club was able to coordinate with local businesses, including Festival Foods, to deliver and install the freezer Thursday morning.
