Red Pheasant Cree Nation near North Battleford marked a major milestone Wednesday- one that is giving much-needed hope to community leaders. They've been dealing with an overdose crisis on-reserve, and say they need things to change, and their new retail project is a step in that direction.

The RCMP will collaborate with the Red Pheasant Cree Nation following the community declared a state of emergency after several drug overdoses within a 24-hour period.
