LA Junta Tribune On any given day in Las Animas the week of June 21, around 30 to 50 volunteers could be found painting the homes of elderly, disabled and veteran residents. "It was quite the feat," Las Animas City Councilwoman Cassandra Torres Siefkas said. "I am impressed with the turnout because I was looking to do this come hell or high water.
