THE Isle of Wight Council is to develop a litter and fly tipping action plan ­— to tackle the growing problem of fly-tipping on the Island. The new approach includes a proposal for a task and finish group with cross party representation of councillors. The nature reserve — home to a number of rare species, including hazel dormice and red squirrels — had been the subject of illegal fly-tipping in recent months.
