4 men face life sentences after New Orleans grand jury indictments for murder, rape
An Orleans Parish grand jury handed up indictments against four men on murder and rape charges on Thursday. One of the men, Anthony Green, is accused of raping a woman in the 3700 block of Joliet Street in Hollygrove inside her home on April 22. She encountered him while taking out the trash, according to her account. Police said Green struck up a conversation with the woman and asked her for water. When she went to retrieve him some, he followed her inside, told her he had been watching her, pushed her onto a sofa and raped her, according to the account she gave detectives.
