As per the TOI report, the accused is suspected of hatching a plan to poison his estranged wife's family in Hyderabad by contaminating their spices with arsenic. Before this, he had contacted a man with a criminal record, seeking his assistance to eliminate the family. The criminal was offered 'supari' and he was reportedly paid Rs 1.7 lakh.
Six persons who helped Ajith Kumar in the case have been arrested while the main accused, who is in London, is still at large
