As Western Illinois University plans to resume the traditional in-person experience this fall on its Macomb and Moline campuses, to ensure the continued health and safety of the members of University community and beyond, WIU s Protect the Necks Plan III has been updated to include the latest policies and procedures set for Fall 2022.
As the Western Illinois University Spring 2022 semester progresses toward spring break, March 14-18, COVID-19 campus procedures have been amended to continue to ensure the health and safety of the members of University community.
Mandatory weekly testing remains in place for Western Illinois University faculty, staff and students who are unvaccinated and who are physically on WIU s campuses. Testing is held on the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses. Surveillance testing has been discontinued at this time. Protocols, including testing, face coverings and other measures, could change depending on circumstances and health guidance.
Western Illinois University will continue with the mandatory gateway testing on the Macomb and Quad Cities campuses for the remainder of this week (through Thursday, Jan. 27). Mandatory weekly testing for individuals who are not vaccinated will resume Monday, Jan. 31.
