Southland Tales was one of The Rock’s first films, and the movie is set to get a special edition Blu-ray release from Arrow Video. Arrow has announced that the Richard Kelly film that stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Seann William Scott, and Justin Timberlake will receive a Blu-Ray release on January 26th that includes the extended cut that premiered at Cannes Film Festival in 2006. Arrow Films completed a new 2K restoration for Southland Tales for both the 145-minute theatrical cut and the 160-minute “Cannes cut”, which premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in 2006. The restoration was approved by director Richard Kelly and director of photography Steven Poster. Audio features the original lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and PCM 2.0 stereo soundtracks with optional English subtitles.
